What is Substance Abuse Consult & Treatment?

Substance dependency, whether it’s alcohol, cocaine, prescription pain medicines, or illegal diploids like heroin, stems from underlying emotional issues such as neglect, trauma, depression, and other contributing factors.

The road to recovery begins by identifying these underlying causes of your addiction and continues as you learn to process your emotions and develop healthy coping skills.

Every team member at Treasure Health System is a highly trained doctoral or master’s level therapist. The team takes an integrative, holistic approach to treating substance use disorders.

How does substance abuse treatment work?

Outpatient treatment programs at Treasure Health System provide a supportive environment in which each patient strengthens their understanding of why they abuse substances, how addiction causes them harm, and how they can make positive changes to achieve and maintain their sobriety.

Outpatient programs also offer the opportunity to practice the skills needed to cope with negative emotions and avoid triggers for lasting recovery. These programs provide individuals with a community where they share their own struggles and provide support for others on their personal recovery journey.

Treasure Health System offers more individual sessions per client per week than most treatment centers, and groups are never larger than seven people. This ensures that each patient receives high-quality, focused care throughout their time in treatment.

Outpatient recovery programs at Treasure Health System include:

Day Treatment

Day treatment is designed as the next step for those who have completed detox or a residential treatment program. Typically, day treatment involves 25-30 hours, five days per week.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive programs offer patients the flexibility to undergo treatment without disrupting work, school, or family obligations.

Professionals’ Intensive Outpatient Program

This refers to a flexible program designed to meet the scheduling and privacy needs of professionals and high-profile individuals.
